Influence and Influencers

The musical influence of Altar Boy started since childhood with zouglou, slow, RnB , coupé décalé, zouk, pop and reggea. His first musical influencers was the artists Garou, Celine DIon, Yodé et Siro, Espoir 2000, Petit Denis, Deza XXL, Meiway, Michael Jackson and Alpha Blondy. In 2006 with the advent of YouTube he built a strong preference for Rap and RnB. His main influencers was the american musicians Jay-Z, Rihanna, Eminem, Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg and Akon. In 2007 he discovered afrobeat with Ophori Amposah as main influencer. But he has drawn his lifeway through RnB and Rap untill 2014 when he integrated electro and pop in his preferences strongly influenced by Stromae and Sia.

Early Carreer

Altar Boy has started his musical carreer, since college in 2013 with the rap group "Les Vikings". Les Viking composed of 3 members mainly Goudji, Boudhis and Altar Boy. They have made many successes in their hometown Bongouanou, MR, CI. The success of The Viking was the result of the song Hard they have published in the same year. Hard was a french remix of Ima Boss of Meek Mill ft. Rick Ross. Just after, they initiated the music performance Underground. Underground was a success. It gathered at each season a hundreth of young around music and dance. It was also a powerful channel for talent discovering and influenced many youngs of the city to embark on the rap style.
