Gary Brown J.R , Better known by his stage name J-Haze, is the Protege of West Coast Legend Glasses Malone & also sign to Glasses Malone’s “Blu Division Music” Label. Like many kids raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Haze Had many hardships. When he was a couple months Of age he was diagnosed with Spinal meningitis, a deadly disease that he survived. Haze was raise in Beltzhoover section of Pittsburgh, known notoriously as the South Zhoove. Haze grew up hustling and dabbling at rap at the age of 12. His unique style, original voice and gutterness brings similarities of an early 50 cent. In 2007 Haze began getting local buzz to the point he ran into Carlos "Tone Capone" Acosta VP of Universal Records Motown & C.E.O of "Playtone/EMI Music Group", Carlos was impressed with J-Haze passion and music talent, so he invited J-Haze to NewYork. 2009 Haze landed a digital distribution deal with Amalgam Digital after impressing the "C.E.O" in Cleveland, Ohio, Haze dropped 3 mixtapes on Amalgam Digital titled "Digital Disaster", "King Of Da City" & "4th & Goal" prior to leaving the company in 2011. Mid 2011 Haze had several "Label" Meetings with RCA Records/Jive Records in NewYork, Where they said Haze wasn't a commercial fit For the company, when Haze got back to Pittsburgh he ran Into "Cash Money Recording" Artist Glasses Malone who was on Tour at the Moment, Glasses was very impressed With Haze Grind/talent & ended up signing him To his "Blu Division Music" imprint Late 2013. In 2017 J-HAZE Signed to Ghazi Shami’s EMPIRE Records with his ShowOff Gang Imprint. In 2022 J-HAZE Signed To 5ive Mics new record Label D.R.O.P. Records
