Bloodhound Lil Jeff

🎤 Who was he?[]

Bloodhound Lil Jeff, real name Jefferey Lamar Harris Jr., was a rising rapper born on July 14, 2002, in Chicago. He emerged from the city’s South Side and quickly became known for his aggressive delivery and raw lyrics that reflected real street conflicts and gang affiliations. He was part of the Bloodhound/DrillCity crew, associated with some of the city's most active street factions.

🛣️ Musical Rise[]

Lil Jeff began gaining attention in the underground scene around 2022, with tracks like BH4L, 9 With a 9 and Striker. He frequently collaborated with Bloodhound Q50 on gritty tracks like Triple 3, Don´t Blink or Stare and Ova Kill.

Jeff’s music stood out for its unapologetic realness—he referenced real-world violence, personal loss, retaliation, and his own alleged involvement in shootings. This raw storytelling earned him a loyal, if controversial, following.

🔫 Street Life & Infamy[]

He allegedly claimed responsibility for multiple killings, including two high-profile shootings in early 2024. Online forums and local reports speculated that he was involved in the deaths of rivals Monti and Lil Rob, both affiliated with opposing sets. He was also believed to be part of escalating conflicts with the rival TrapCity crew, which involved chain snatchings, retaliatory violence, and disrespectful callouts in music and on social media.

⚠️ Tragic Death[]

On June 8, 2024, Lil Jeff was reportedly sliding (street slang for entering an enemy neighborhood with intent to intimidate or harm) into the Woodlawn area—known to be TrapCity territory—when he was ambushed and fatally shot.

Surveillance footage later surfaced showing the self-endangerment he was getting himself into: Running before collapsing in the street, shot 15 to 19 times, and an autopsy revealed the presence of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol.

He died at the age of 21.

🕊️ Legacy[]

Despite his short life, Lil Jeff left behind a legacy of hard-hitting tracks that resonated with fans of Chicago drill. His death sparked reactions from the local music scene and even drew attention from mainstream figures, including pro athletes and larger rap platforms.
