About TP THA KNIGHT[]
TP THA KNIGHT aka MC TP is an American artist born in Harford CT. Mostly known for his lyrics on serious topics such as loneliness and feeling alienated. With a dark Alternative Hip Hop Lofi like sound and his willingness to experiment with so many sounds and genres.
He’s stated that artists such as Michael Jackson, and Hayley Williams have made the most positive influence on his life.
Musically, he got into many genres and began listening to so many artists he couldn't keep track. He admired Lana Del Rey's slow and almost nostalgic sound that is often described as "Hollywood Sadcore" and with that he dove deep into sadcore bands and artists like Cat Power.
Paramore's catalog of hits is very dear to him. As far as other bands on the emo scene go, he loves Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance
His family primarily listened to East Cost Hip Hop. His mother was a fan of The Notorious B.I.G and his father enjoyed the duo of Capone & Noreaga. Big Pun, Heavy D, Nas, Jay Z all were played throughout his childhood. He decided to take matters in is own hands and got into Harlem rapper Big L, who's horrorcore songs could easily paint a picture with his story telling rhymes which appealed to Tony as he's been a huge fan of horror films and novels since a young child.
As stated his family listened to mostly East Cost Rap, his friend a fellow artist King Hurst had out him on to West Coast Hip Hop and put him on to artists such as DJ Quick and even told him about the solo releases of MC Ren and Eazy E.
He got into poetry at a really young age and grew up reading the likes of William Blake and Edgar Allen Poe, two very talented yet different poets.
